Erin Rhoda is a writer and storyteller. As editorial page editor of the Bangor Daily News, she writes the newspaper’s opinion on matters from Kittery to Fort Kent. She grew up in Washington, Maine, on a small farm and graduated from Colby College with a degree in English. She later earned her master’s in creative writing at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, as a national George J. Mitchell Scholarship recipient. Working in several African countries helped teach her determination. Even with malaria, she took out a pen to write about it.
