As editorial page editor of the Bangor Daily News, Erin Rhoda writes the newspaper’s opinion on matters from Kittery to Fort Kent. She grew up in Washington, Maine, on a small farm and graduated from Colby College with a degree in English. She later earned her master’s in creative writing at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, as a national George J. Mitchell Scholarship recipient. Working in several African countries helped teach her determination. Even with malaria, she took out a pen to write about it.
Erin Rhoda is editor of Maine Focus, a journalism and community engagement initiative by the Bangor Daily News.Follow @ErinRhoda
